CAMP CHERRY VALLEY


In2Deep Diving and Camp Cherry Valley have teamed up to offer campers a chance to explore Catalina's underwater world through several dive programs for both youth and adults.  In2Deep Diving is a full service PADI 5 Star dive shop located in Santa Monica, CA with an outstanding dive instruction team and top-of-the line equipment to assist you in your adventures as well as a satellite dive center at Camp Cherry Valley to support all the camp’s diving instruction, activities and rental gear.

 TO PARTICIPATE:

  • You must be registered to attend Camp Cherry Valley.
  • All Scuba Program costs are in addition to Summer Camp Fees.
  • Minimum age for the scouts to participate in scuba programs is 12 years old.
  • All dives (including certified divers) are required to be guided by In2Deep Diving Scuba Staff ONLY. (NO SOLO DIVING ALLOWED)
  • All required PADI forms must be signed by participant and guardian (if required) 
  • PADI RSTC Medical form must be completed and signed by a physician, per BSA Nationals rules, regardless of the answers on the form

Payment and forms must be completed prior to all dives.

For the Open Water Scuba Diving Course; reservations MUST be made at least 14 days prior to arrival at camp to complete the required online homework.

For all other dive experiences and courses, it is highly recommended that participants sign up prior to arrival to ensure availability as spaces fill quickly.

 Any and all diving at Camp Cherry Valley must be guided by In 2 Deep Dive Staff only.

  • PADI Open Water Scuba Certification and Scuba Diving Merit Badge Program
  • PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program (a non-certification "try diving" experience)
  • Guided Dive for Certified Divers
  • Scuba Diving Merit Badge Upgrade (for scouts who are already certified divers)
  • Emergency First Response (EFR) CPR Certification

Cancellation Policy:

Up to 30 days prior to the scheduled activity date, payments for unused materials are refundable.

Once used or activated, course materials are non-refundable, and the course must be completed with 1 year of activation.

Missed courses and diving activities are non-refundable.

Late arrivals in need of makeup work will be subject to a $25.00 fee per additional hour.

In2Deep Diving hires PADI Divemasters and Instructors every year for the Scouts BSA Scuba Program. We always have a solid core of returning staff year to year but we also have openings for new members to join our staff providing the opportunity to expand their skills, experiences and certification level.

If you wish to apply for an In2Deep Diver staff position for the Scout BSA Summer Camp, follow the directions above. Training takes place at Camp and requires home study to be completed one week before Week 1 starts at Camp.
